Overview
Steptoe’s relocation of its Northern California office to San Francisco received coverage in the media, with articles published in the Daily Journal and The Recorder, among other publications. On July 11, Steptoe announced the relocation of its Palo Alto office to The Golden City with plans to expand into new practice areas in the Bay Area.
Bill Abrams, San Francisco managing partner, tells the Daily Journal that the move mirrors the growth patterns of many of the firm’s clients. “As we have expanded, many of our clients have moved or expanded into San Francisco. We are reflecting decisions that they made.”
Steptoe Chair Phil West tells The Recorder that “San Francisco is a bigger place. It's a place that we think will enable us to serve a broader range of clients, attract a broader range of talent and put to use a broader range of our practices compared to the IP and commercial litigation success we had in the Valley."
The San Francisco office is in the heart of downtown San Francisco at One Market Plaza in the Steuart Tower.
