Steptoe partner Lisa Zarlenga and associate John Cobb co-authored an article titled "Navigating Opportunity Zones – Making the Myriad of Legal Requirements Work in Practice" for Bloomberg Tax. The article, published October 11, provides a brief overview of the requirements under the qualified opportunity zone rules, and looks at some of the solutions that have evolved to work within the requirements of the statute and proposed regulations, as well as some areas where qualified opportunity fund sponsors and their advisors are still in the process of developing solutions.
