Overview
On July 6, 2022, New York Law Journal quoted Charles Michael in a piece titled "Lawsuits Over Ownership of Money, Coal from Titanic Wreckage Disembark in Manhattan Federal Court." The piece discusses a legal dispute over the ownership of four items recovered by RMS Titanic's (RMST) expeditions to the wreck of the vessel. Strongbow Holdings they are the rightful owner and says the company "sabotaged" an auction of assets.
Michael, commenting on the auction items said, "RMST knew that it was not the rightful owner of the four items, but nonetheless intentionally interfered with the auction, out of malice… It did so by making a series of false and blatantly dishonest statements about its purported interest in the four items."
