(January 25, 2022, New York) — Steptoe & Johnson LLP partner Michael Weiner has received the 2022 William T. Lifland Service Award from the New York State Bar Association's (NYSBA) Antitrust Section. The award was presented virtually during the Antitrust Law Section's annual dinner on January 24.
For more than two decades, the William T Lifland Service Award has been presented to antitrust practitioners in recognition of their contributions and accomplishments, honoring those who have served the broader antitrust community in a leadership role. Weiner's practice focuses on merger reviews and litigation, government investigations, and antitrust litigation, as well as strategic counseling and compliance advice. He has successfully litigated class action, restraint of trade and monopolization lawsuits across a broad range of industries in federal courts throughout the United States, and secured antitrust clearance for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures from federal, state, and international antitrust enforcement agencies.
Weiner currently serves on the Executive Committee of the NYSBA's Antitrust Section, where he previously served as Chair in 2017. He is also a former Officer and Council Member of the American Bar Association's Antitrust Section and a former Editorial Chair of Antitrust Magazine.
