Overview
(August 26, 2026, Washington DC) – Steptoe partner Nicholas Silverman has been named a 2026 Law360 Rising Star in White Collar. The list recognizes attorneys under 40 whose legal accomplishments belie their age.
Nicholas earned his spot on the list for his role in securing acquittals for former Autonomy CEO Mike Lynch in one of the largest accounting fraud cases ever prosecuted by the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California and for Ali Sadr in a landmark Southern District of New York sanctions case involving post-trial discovery of exculpatory evidence. Nicholas was also instrumental in winning dismissal of the Department of Justice's first civil Foreign Agents Registration Act lawsuit in more than 30 years, a victory that was unanimously affirmed by the DC Circuit in 2024.
