OECD and Eastern European and Central Asian Tax Officials Hold Meeting on BEPS Implementation

OECD and Eastern European and Central Asian Tax Officials Hold Meeting on BEPS Implementation: Delegates from 16 countries as well as a variety of international and regional organizations, business interests, and academics met in Yerevan, Armenia to discuss the Inclusive Framework on BEPS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Participants discussed the steps and actions taken in their respective jurisdictions to implement the BEPS measures, which were released in October 2015. Participants also worked together on practical case studies regarding country-by-country reporting for the activities of multinational enterprises, preferential tax regimes and exchange of information on tax rulings, and treaty shopping and treaty abuse. The meeting was the latest in a series of regional meetings regarding the BEPS Framework.
