(May 11, 2017, Chicago) — Steptoe & Johnson LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of Kelly Eberspecher as a partner in the Intellectual Property Group. He will reside in the firm’s Chicago office, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2017.
Mr. Eberspecher focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation. He has substantial experience in federal district courts throughout the nation, as well as before the US Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Mr. Eberspecher’s litigation practice encompasses a variety of technical areas including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemical, mechanical and electrical. He has litigated several matters arising under the Lanham Act, as well as cases involving trade secrets and copyrights.
Mr. Eberspecher, who has been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers list every year since 2010 and recognized by Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s Leading Lawyers Network as a Leading Intellectual Property Lawyer, is an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He is a veteran of the US Navy where he served as a SEAL team member conducting special operations.
