Overview
(January 25, 2021, New York) — Steptoe & Johnson LLP is pleased to announce that Steve Yang has joined the firm's Intellectual Property group as a partner. Based in the New York office, Yang will focus his practice on IP litigation, as well as litigation and counseling for Chinese and Taiwanese companies.
Yang counsels clients in a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemical manufacturing and compositions, and technologies in the high-tech space. He handles all facets of litigation in federal courts, as well as Section 337 investigations before the US International Trade Commission, and has served as lead counsel in inter partes reviews before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the US Patent and Trademark Office. Yang has also worked as an in-house counsel at a major pharmaceutical company in New Jersey, and has extensive experience with Hatch-Waxman litigations and the Hatch-Waxman statutory framework.

Yang earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire School of Law on a full dean's merit scholarship, and his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin.
