On July 16, 2024, Recharge quoted Anne-Gabrielle Haie in an article titled, "Why Renewable Energy Executives' Necks Will Soon Be on the Line for Cybersecurity Lapses." The article discusses how managers and executives at wind sector companies in the EU will soon face expansive personal liability – including bans and criminal sanctions – for cybersecurity failings under the EU NIS 2 Directive.
Speaking to Recharge about the NIS 2 Directive Anne-Gabrielle said: "Any cyber incidents could potentially trigger the management's liability. […] The era when cybersecurity was left solely to the chief information security officer is over. […] It's crucial that top-level management oversee the overall cyber strategy of the entity and understand the stakes involved."
