(May 7, 2024, Washington, DC) — Steptoe LLP has announced the continued growth of its Investigations and White-Collar Defense practice with the addition of Sandra M. Hanna, who joins the firm as head of its SEC Enforcement practice, based in Washington, DC and New York.
Sandra is continually recognized as a nationwide leader in SEC Enforcement matters by Chambers USA, Securities Docket and The Best Lawyers in America, which has twice named her lawyer of the year. She represents public companies, regulated entities, auditor firms and senior executives in regulatory enforcement matters before the SEC, DOJ, PCAOB, FINRA and other domestic and international law enforcement agencies. Sandra also has significant experience leading SEC and DOJ appointed Independent Corporate Monitor teams in both securities and FCPA matters.
"We are thrilled to welcome someone with Sandra's record as a leader in high-stakes SEC enforcement, investigations, securities, and auditing matters," commented firm chair Gwen Renigar. "Sandra's experience representing clients in front of federal and international law enforcement agencies further expands our SEC enforcement, auditor, and professional liability capabilities and complements our work at the intersection of business, policy, and the courts."
Sandra added: "I'm excited to bring my experience helping clients navigate their most complex regulatory enforcement challenges to Steptoe. I look forward to collaborating with this talented deep bench of lawyers and drawing on the extensive resources the firm offers to deliver exceptional service and results for our clients."
