Yesterday's stipulation of settlement is here, and the Southern District press release is here. The case accused Deutsche Bank (and the MortgageIT unit it acquired in 2007) of, among other things, submitting false information about its underwriting practices to the government in order to obtain mortgage insurance from the Federal Housing Administration, which ended up paying more than $368 million in insurance claims for mortgages endorsed for FHA insurance by MortgageIT.
