Judge Pauley Lifts Stay in Challenge to NSA Surveillance, Despite Shutdown

In an Order yesterday in the suit challenging the NSA's surveillance practices, Judge Pauley lifted the blanket stay all civil DOJ matters during the government shutdown. The Order states:  "An indefinite shutdown cannot shield the Government from defending against claims of ongoing constitutional violations." Our prior posts on the case are here.
