MDL Panel Consolidates Antitrust Class Action Against Major Banks Relating to Credit Default Swaps Before Judge Cote

In an order dated Wednesday, the Judicial Panel for Multidistrict Litigation consolidated for purposes of pretrial proceedings various class actions alleging that the major banks monopolized the market for credit default swaps.  The original complaint in the case before Judge Cote is here. Judge Cote is currently handling the FHFA litigation against a somewhat overlapping group of major banks.
