Overview
(November 13, 2024, Washington, DC) – Steptoe partner Sandra Hanna has been named to Securities Docket's 'Enforcement Elite' for 2024. The list recognizes "the best securities enforcement defense counsel in the industry… who not only have the right stuff to handle bet-the-company matters, but are also the kind of defensive specialists critical to have on speed-dial should the SEC's Division of Enforcement come calling." The list is guided by a simple question: "who would you hire if you, your company or a family member was faced with an important SEC enforcement matter?"
Sandra Hanna leads the Steptoe's SEC Enforcement practice. She represents public companies, regulated entities, audit firms and senior executives in regulatory enforcement matters before the SEC, DOJ, PCAOB, FINRA, and other domestic and international law enforcement agencies. Sandra also has significant experience leading SEC and DOJ appointed Independent Corporate Monitor teams in both securities and FCPA matters. Sandra is recognized as a nationwide leader in securities enforcement matters. She has been continuously ranked by Chambers USA for Securities Enforcement since 2014. Chambers USA notes she is “a terrific, incredibly smart, and experienced SEC lawyer."
The honorees were announced at a reception on November 6 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC, following the Securities Enforcement Forum DC 2024. Visit Securities Docket for more information about the honorees.
