(July 1, 2025, Washington, DC) – Steptoe partner Stephen Aschettino has been appointed as a member of the inaugural Hispanic National Bar Foundation (HNBF) Advisory Board. In this role, Stephen will help the HNBF increase the number of Hispanics in the legal profession through education.
The HNBF's mission is to help Hispanics achieve their potential through access to higher education and increase diversity in the legal profession. The Foundation seeks to create a culture in the Hispanic community where higher education is the expectation rather than the exception.
Stephen Aschettino is a partner in Steptoe's Financial Innovation & Regulation practice, where he leads the firm's Payments team. With more than 20 years of experience as a highly accomplished business lawyer and trial attorney, Stephen advises clients on navigating complex technology transactions and high-stakes litigation. His practice places a particular emphasis on the evolving legal, business, and regulatory challenges surrounding payments technology and digital assets, including global payment systems, digital transformation initiatives, blockchain-based solutions, and innovations in cryptocurrency and tokenized platforms.
