Overview
(November 6, 2024, Washington, DC) – Steptoe LLP advised KOR Reporting, Inc. (KOR), an operator of globally licensed derivative trade repositories, in securing the approval of its security-based swap data repository application with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC).
The registration approval allows KOR to immediately serve as a trade repository for security-based swaps traded by derivatives market participants subject to the SEC's jurisdiction. KOR is also a registered repository with the CFTC, ASIC, and Canadian authorities. KOR is now one of only two SEC-registered repositories with the capability to service multiple asset classes.
Steptoe worked closely with KOR leadership over the past year to help secure the application's approval, relying on its relationships within the SEC to ensure the firm’s application was prioritized and processed by the agency.
The team advising KOR includes Ryan Hayden, Micah Green, and Coy Garrison.
