Overview
(March 6, 2024, Washington, DC) – Steptoe LLP has been awarded the Women in Law Empowerment Forum’s (WILEF) US Gold Standard Certification for the eighth consecutive year.
WILEF, a premier organization for women in law, grants Gold Standard Certifications to major firms that meet objective criteria representing the attainment of a firm’s women lawyers, including the number of women equity partners, number of women in firm leadership positions, and number of women among a firm’s most highly compensated partners.
Steptoe counts a number of women lawyers among its ranks, including in leadership. The firm's chair is a woman and a number of the firm's practice departments and management teams are headed by women. Additionally, the firm has a strong record of elevating women to the partnership.
Launched in 2011, the WILEF Gold Standard Certification initiative supports WILEF’s broader goal - educating women in law on how to become leaders in the workplace and in the community by building, exercising and implementing a strong sense of empowerment.
