Overview
(May 17, 2021, Beijing) — For the eighth consecutive year, Steptoe has received the China Business Law Award in International Trade. In addition, Steptoe has again won the China Business Law Award in Corporate Compliance and IP (Patent).
In an article announcing the winners, the editors quote several in-house counsel who praise Steptoe as a firm that “understands the Chinese culture very well” and “is able to provide very practice solutions that are in line with Chinese companies.”
The China Business Law Awards, presented by the China Business Law Journal, are based on hundreds of nominations received from China-focused corporate counsel and legal professionals around the world. In determining the winners, the nominations (and the justifications provided for each nomination) were considered carefully in combination with other factors, such as each firm's landmark deals, cases and other notable achievements over the past year. The editors also consulted widely with law firm clients and conducted a large number of surveys to ascertain the level of satisfaction with the services provided by each firm.
