(April 17, 2017, Washington, DC) — Steptoe has been nominated for two Chambers USA Awards for Excellence. The awards are based on research for the 2017 edition of Chambers USA and reflect a law firm's pre-eminence in key practice areas. The awards also reflect notable achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service.
Steptoe's nominations are as follows:
- International Trade (team nomination)
- Litigation: White-Collar Crime - Reid Weingarten (individual nomination)
This marks the ninth time since 2007 that the firm’s International Trade practice has been shortlisted for an Award of Excellence, having won the top honor in 2007. This marks the sixth time Mr. Weingarten has been shortlisted in the individual white-collar crime category, having won the top prize in 2012.
The Chambers USA Awards ceremony and dinner is an annual event hosted by Chambers and Partners and coincides with the release of the annual Chambers USA guidebook. This year's event is scheduled to be held on May 25 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York.
