Overview
(December 22, 2020, Brussels) — A Steptoe team was named a finalist in HACKtheDOC, the first legal design Italian hackathon organized by Legal Hackers Roma, under the patronage of the Italian Data Protection authority. On December 13, Diletta De Cicco and Charles Helleputte participated in the virtual event. As part of team #LiM (Less is More), they were challenged to cut a social media or platforms privacy notices by 50%.
The projects were evaluated by an independent jury on the basis of concept, design, development and presentation.
The purpose of the event was to promote the research and development of ideas and projects in an innovative and social impact field such as that of legal design, involving students, graduates and professionals from the legal, graphic design and communication sectors and to promote contamination and co-design between them through a digital challenge.
