(October 15, 2025, Washington, DC) – Steptoe LLP is pleased to announce that veteran real estate and land use attorney Allison Jones has joined the firm’s Transactions practice as a partner. Allison brings more than two decades of experience advising Fortune 500 companies, REITs, and global developers on complex real estate development, land use, energy, and infrastructure projects across the United States.
"Allison's arrival adds a critical dimension to our tax and transactional offerings," said practice group leader Beth Tractenberg. "Her deep experience across the spectrum of real estate projects strengthens our ability to advise clients at the intersection of business, regulation, and policy. Having led multibillion-dollar infrastructure and energy initiatives in dozens of jurisdictions, Allison boasts the technical depth, strategic insight, and hands-on leadership that makes her an excellent fit for the complex matters we handle across industries."
Allison’s practice spans the full lifecycle of complex land and infrastructure projects, including site selection, due diligence, zoning and entitlements, governmental approvals, and transactional matters such as acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing. She also brings specialized proficiency in renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including solar facility rollouts and large-scale logistics centers. Her work advising electric utilities and energy developers on land use and permitting issues complements Steptoe's nationally recognized energy practice, which is consistently ranked by Chambers USA and Chambers Global.
"Steptoe is widely respected for its depth and sophistication across transactional and advisory matters," Allison said. "Joining a firm with such a strong reputation in tax and energy law presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and expand my practice. I'm particularly drawn to Steptoe’s commitment to strategic growth and its ability to support clients through every stage of the business lifecycle."
Allison’s arrival reflects Steptoe's continued investment in expanding its capabilities at the intersection of real estate, energy, and tax law.
