The National Law Journal quoted Alexandra Baj in an article titled, "Big Law Beefs Up International Trade Teams, With Clients 'Trying to Make Sense of It All'." The article discusses how Big Law firms have stepped up their hiring of international trade lawyers, including some who departed the federal government seeking to leverage their expertise in private practice.
Speaking to The National Law Journal about hiring within Steptoe's International Trade and Regulatory Compliance group, Baj said, "Not only has it been a strategic area for growth for the firm for many years, but really right now, this year in particular...there's just going to continue to be client demands in this area. Tariffs for some clients [are] really an existential threat."
