On February 18, The New York Times quoted Jason Weinstein in their piece titled, "Government Cracks Down on Crypto Industry With Flurry of Actions." The article discusses recent enforcement actions taken against crypto firms by federal and state regulators, in addition to banking policies making it harder for crypto companies to participate in the conventional financial system.
Weinstein, co-lead of Steptoe's Blockchain & Cryptocurrency practice, said: "We're seeing an arms race between federal agencies in the U.S., competing to show how tough they can be on crypto. There are a lot of sheriffs in town, and each is trying to assert control over the same town."
