The Uncertainties of a Framework Agreement with the EU

Simon Hirsbrunner co-authored an article titled “The Uncertainties of a Framework Agreement with the EU” for Neue Zürcher Zeitung. The January 18 article discusses to what extent would a far-reaching agreement change the legal character of the bilateral treaties between Switzerland and the EU. The authors go on to argue that a framework agreement should go beyond merely avoiding regulatory divergence.
