(January 10, 2023, Washington, DC) — Steptoe partner Wendy Wysong has been named to China Business Law Journal's 2022 A-List, a select group of 100 elite foreign lawyers with China-related practices.
Wysong focuses her practice on regulatory compliance and white-collar defense of international laws, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), US sanctions laws and regulations administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and US anti-boycott laws, as well as government fraud and public corruption. She represents clients throughout the United States and Asia in the logistics, defense, aerospace, healthcare, telecommunications, gaming, consumer goods, and energy sectors. She is the managing partner of Steptoe's Hong Kong office and co-chair of the firm's Investigations and White-Collar Defense group.
The A-List is based on extensive research conducted by China Business Law Journal. The research process involves the identifying elite lawyers for the Chinese market. China Business Law Journal reviews submissions from in-house counsel in China and around the world, partners at Chinese and international law firms, as well as professionals in other organizations. All private practice lawyers for the China market are eligible for inclusion in the nomination process, and there were no fees or any other requirements for entry into the process.
