Overview
Women's Wear Daily cited Steptoe in an article titled "At Your Service: The Helping Hands in Fashion." The article, published August 23, provides an overview of the fashion industry's most prominent service professionals. Steptoe was one of only five law firms listed.
In the article, the editors write that Steptoe "represents large fashion brands, including Louis Vuitton, as well as small start-ups and jewelry brands, advising them about trademarks and counterfeiting and representing them in litigation."
Mike Allan, who serves as chair of Steptoe's Copyright practice and as co-chair of the Trademark Group, tells WWD: "We do enforce the trademarks pre-litigation, where we reach a resolution with a counterfeiter or infringer. But the biggest part of our practice is litigation."
