Overview
Ben Ho is an intellectual property litigator with a focus on patent litigation. He has represented clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups in a wide variety of intellectual property matters.
Ben is experienced litigating intellectual property disputes across several venues, including patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation in district court, patent validity challenges before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), trademark opposition proceedings before the US Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and Section 337 investigations before the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
Ben also advises clients on intellectual property matters outside of the litigation context. He is experienced managing his clients’ patent portfolios and helps clients acquire patents to protect their valuable inventions. He has also helped his clients navigate complex licensing deals or acquisitions.
Ben has developed a strong understanding of technology covering a variety of fields including telecommunication networks, computer graphics, targeted advertising, mobile check deposits, audio encoding, and video games.
Ben has been recognized in Best Lawyers "Ones to Watch" for intellectual property litigation since 2024.
Before embarking on his intellectual property career, Ben served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Margaret M. Mann at the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California.
