Overview
Daye Cho provides counsel for clients in the areas of government enforcement, internal investigations, and corporate compliance. She has particular experience representing and advising multinational companies in complex, cross-border inquiries involving alleged violations of anti-corruption and human rights laws.
Daye works with clients across a wide range of sectors, including technology, defense, aerospace, life sciences, mining and extractives, energy, and finance. She represents them in matters before the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and other law enforcement and regulatory agencies across the globe. She also regularly advises clients in investigations and related proceedings initiated by the United Nations, the World Bank, and other international organizations.
Furthermore, Daye assists clients in developing and enhancing their corporate compliance programs, including in connection with post-settlement obligations required by regulators. She has conducted various compliance risk and gap assessments, audits, due diligence reviews, and training. She has also served on multiple independent compliance monitor or expert teams to evaluate and make recommendations regarding corporate compliance programs.
Daye received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was an Executive Editor of the American Criminal Law Review and a Law Fellow in the Legal Research and Writing Program. Daye earned a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

- Represented a global aerospace company before DOJ in connection with allegations of bribery and export control violations as part of a multi-jurisdictional corruption investigation involving the US, UK, and French criminal enforcement authorities.
- Advised a global technology company in cross-border government investigations and parliamentary inquiries involving alleged human rights violations.
- Represented a high-net-worth individual before a US Attorney’s Office in connection with allegations of cryptocurrency fraud.
- Represented South American pharmaceutical companies in World Bank Integrity Vice Presidency (INT) audits and related proceedings concerning anti-corruption and anti-competition issues.
- Advised a global technology company in assessing and enhancing its corporate compliance program in connection with post-settlement reporting requirements imposed by DOJ and SEC following a multi-year FCPA investigation and resolution.
- Served on multiple independent compliance expert teams appointed by the UN to review and report on anti-corruption, fraud, conflicts of interest, and sexual exploitation issues as part of procurement reinstatement applications following debarment related to Oil-For-Food Programme corruption investigations.
- Advised a global technology company in developing and enhancing its corporate human rights compliance program.
