Overview
Jack Wallan advises clients across the chemicals, food and beverage, consumer products, cosmetics, and medical device industries, with a particular focus on environmental and natural resources matters. He has significant experience navigating complex regulatory frameworks, managing litigation, and developing compliance strategies.
Jack regularly negotiates and resolves California Proposition 65 claims prior to litigation and has defended clients in ongoing Proposition 65 lawsuits. He served as regional counsel for a major chemical distributor in nationwide talc litigation, where he oversaw local and trial counsel, developed litigation and settlement strategies, and provided guidance on complex briefing. In addition, Jack has assisted the defense of several environmental and consumer class actions in state and federal courts.
In the regulatory space, Jack supported a leading waste services company with ongoing compliance efforts under federal and state environmental laws, including EPA and State EPA hazardous waste requirements. His work has included advising on the handling of potential hazardous waste at active facilities and preparing proposed edits and comments to draft legislation impacting the industry.
