Overview
Jenna Libman focuses her practice in the chemical and life sciences group, and leverages her experience as a litigator to advise and benefit clients throughout the legal process. She has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants through each stage of litigation, from initial strategies through dispositive motion practice, engagement in comprehensive discovery, and taking and defending depositions. Jenna is adept in preparing cases for trial and identifying resolution opportunities to ensure her clients receive the best possible outcomes.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Jenna represented a variety of clients in complex commercial, cybersecurity, toxic tort, and product liability matters. She has represented a multinational conglomerate in a historic multidistrict litigation matter, and has extensively defended clients in class action lawsuits related to data breaches, including managing action consolidation across multiple jurisdictions, investigating and analyzing forensic evidence, comprehensively briefing substantive and procedural issues, and advising on compliance with federal and state cybersecurity standards. Jenna also has a history of significant plaintiff-side work in medical malpractice, birth injury, and serious personal injury cases. Her experience has provided her with a particular proficiency in technical and medical matters, which adds considerable value to her clients' defense strategies.
