Overview
Jon Ufer advises clients on a wide range of export and import regulatory matters. His practice focuses on laws and regulations relating to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), US sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and US Customs. His work includes export classification analyses, jurisdiction reviews, encryption controls, enhancement of internal compliance programs, and investigations relating to disclosures.
Jon assists clients with audits and internal investigations, voluntary disclosures to regulatory agencies, license and export classification requests, and enhanced due diligence efforts. He works with a number industries, including aerospace, defense, semiconductors, telecommunications, and specialty materials.
