Overview
Kim Hooks concentrates her legal practice on transportation law, with a particular emphasis on the rail sector. She represents prominent rail clients in matters before the Surface Transportation Board (STB) and in cases appealed to the federal courts.
In addition to her transportation practice, Kim serves as one of the firm's Pro Bono Fellows. In this capacity, she has contributed to several federal court cases, including a voting rights matter in North Carolina and a Section 1983 action involving excessive use of force in Maryland. Her pro bono work further encompasses a Guardian ad Litem appointment, immigration matters, and landlord–tenant disputes.
Prior to earning her law degree, Kim was employed as a Financial Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York City. She also completed a year of service with AmeriCorps.
