Overview
Mary-Kate Planchet’s practice is focused on consumer litigation. She regularly counsels clients in product liability and mass tort litigation. She is experienced in all aspects of litigation, from case initiation to dispositive motions and has supported trial teams.
In addition, Mary-Kate has handled numerous insurance coverage, tort and catastrophic loss, and labor and employment matters. In an insurance coverage matter, she was a member of a team that helped to set aside a $10.5 million judgment and obtain a full release for her client.
Mary-Kate is a member of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association and the California Lawyers Association. She is also deeply committed to pro bono work, including supporting foster adoption matters.
During law school, Mary-Kate served as the Chief Articles Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and served as a mentor for incoming students.
