Overview
Mert Arkan advises clients on international trade matters, with a particular focus on antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) proceedings. Mert has represented both domestic and foreign entities before the US Department of Commerce (DOC), the US International Trade Commission (ITC), and the US Court of International Trade (CIT). Mert has also supported clients in addressing their import/export compliance concerns, and helped them navigate various US customs administrative processes.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Mert worked in both boutique and larger law firm settings. His professional experience allowed for close contact with clients to service their case-specific needs, and helped him develop a detailed understanding of the processes and analyses employed by the relevant administrative agencies.
