The August 19, 2022 article discusses how businesses can mitigate the damage from global economic headwinds impacting their operations, and highlights that businesses are preparing for future regulatory regimes and working to adapt their supply chains.
Weiss, who leads Steptoe's Supply Chain team, tells Asia Business Law Journal that "we have analyzed the climate regimes of various jurisdictions to enable a client to select the optimal jurisdiction, and suppliers for its steel and aluminum needs, in anticipation of future carbon border measures."
Weiss adds that "building a technology-neutral and globally applicable standards-based process will unleash new efficiencies and innovations in cargo movement."
