Steptoe partner Marc Spitzer was quoted in a Bloomberg article titled “Fracking Foes Take Their Protest to Regulator’s Front Door.” The article, published July 7, discusses how some opponents of an oil and natural gas drilling technique known as hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, are trying to intimidate members of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) by targeting the commissioners at their homes.
Mr. Spitzer, a former FERC commissioner, says, “It seems to me that if you don’t like pipelines for whatever reason, your beef is with the Congress.” But for the protesters “FERC is kind of an easy target.”
