Steptoe’s October 6 REACH Data and TSCA Reform webinar featuring a panel of lawyers from the firm’s Washington and Brussels offices was covered by Bloomberg BNA’s Chemical Regulation Reporter in an October 6 article titled “Chemical Trade Secrets, Contracts Require Global view.” The article summarizes what was discussed during the webinar, which addressed ways toxicity and other data generated for the European Union’s REACH regulations could be used domestically under the US Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA). The webinar also touched on concerns that can arise when data used to comply with one country’s or region’s regulations are used for compliance in another part of the world.
