Overview
Steptoe's Chris Bjornson has received the LBJ Washington Center's 2019 Distinguished Federal Policy Alumni Award. The center is home to the DC concentration of The University of Texas at Austin's Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and helps aspiring policy professionals launch their federal careers.
In an article published June 7, Bjornson (MPAff '96) shares some of the lessons he's learned throughout his career. Before joining Steptoe, Bjornson served in various policy and management positions at MAXIMUS, the Federal Communications Commission, the US Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of the Texas Attorney General and the Travis County Tax Office.
