Overview
(January 6, 2026, Los Angeles) — Steptoe LLP associate Conor Tucker has been appointed as Chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association's Appellate Law Section for the 2025 – 2026 bar year.
Conor is an experienced litigator who has represented clients at every level of the federal court system — including serving as Counsel of Record before the United States Supreme Court. He has guided cases from the earliest stages of investigation through trial and appeal and has argued key motions and appeals in both state and federal courts. Conor’s advocacy — in briefing and at argument— has led to published, precedent-setting decisions, including issues of first impression. In the California Court of Appeal alone, this includes litigating issues of first impression regarding the impact of COIVD-19 on force majeure clauses in live music performance contracts and state regulation of video streaming services. In the United States Supreme Court, he routinely serves as Counsel of Record for Members of Congress as amici.
He has handled a wide variety of matters, from contract disputes to intellectual property cases involving trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, and patents, as well as constitutional, criminal procedure, and due process issues. His clients span a broad range of industries, including technology, energy, real estate, retail, apparel, mining, entertainment, banking, healthcare, social media, and computer sciences.
