Overview
Steptoe's Alan Cohn and Evan Abrams co-authored an article titled "Decentralized Finance (DeFi): Overview" for Practical Law. The article, published in December 2020, is an introduction to decentralized finance (DeFi) and an overview of the legal framework applicable to DeFi transactions and projects, in which blockchain-based finance and financial services are conducted using smart contracts or similar mechanisms.
