Global Arbitration Review highlighted Steptoe in a February 22 article titled "LCIA award surfaces in Russian bank fraud case."
A London-seated LCIA tribunal issued the partial final award in June last year in an arbitration between Russian state-owned bank Otkritie and companies associated with property tycoon Boris Mints' O1 Group. The LCIA tribunal upheld the bank's claims of dishonest assistance, inducing breach of contract, and conspiracy under Cyprus law. Steptoe partner Neil Dooley and associates Natalia Gofman and Yuliya Luy acted on behalf of Otkritie in the arbitration and the US and UK courts.
