Overview
Inside FERC quoted Marc Spitzer in an August 8 article titled “Clark to Leave FERC After September Meeting, Leaving Panel with Three Democrats.” The article discusses the announcement from Commissioner Tony Clark that he would be leaving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) following the commission’s opening meeting on September 22.
Mr. Spitzer, the former FERC commissioner whose seat Mr. Clark filled, tells Inside FERC that he commends Mr. Clark’s ability to navigate the “tremendous divide in this country between rural and urban” populations. “Tony possesses the unique ability to communicate rural issues effectively to the urban, elite university graduates who decide, for example, how North Dakotans use their land.”
