Overview
Steptoe of counsel Leah Quadrino has been elected to the 2015 District of Columbia Bar Board of Governors for the upcoming 2015-16 term.
At Steptoe, Ms. Quadrino’s practice focuses on insurance and reinsurance disputes, professional liability defense, and complex commercial litigation. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing refugees, homeless persons, and victims of human trafficking and discrimination, among others. Recently, she was a key part of the team that obtained cert in the US Supreme Court on behalf of a pro bono plaintiff in an excessive force claim involving Taser usage.
Ms. Quadrino has extensive voluntary bar experience, currently serving as chair-elect of the Scholarship Board for the ABA’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) and as a member of the TIPS Standing Committee on Law in Public Service. She is also a past chair of the TIPS Excess, Surplus Lines and Reinsurance Committee. Ms. Quadrino is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a graduate of Yale College and Fordham Law School.
Ms. Quadrino and the other newly elected officers, board members, and delegates will take office during the 2015 Celebration of Leadership: The DC Bar Awards Dinner and Annual Meeting on June 16 at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington.
