Overview
(September 17, 2021, Beijing and Chicago) — Steptoe partners Tim Bickham and Jay Nuttall have been named to the 2021 edition of IAM Strategy 300: The World's Leading IP Strategists. The guide, which is based on a global research process, lists individuals who have shown to possess world-class skills in the development and implementation of strategies that maximize the value of patents, copyright, trademarks and other IP rights. The guide features individuals from all kinds of entity – whether service providers, corporations, research institutions or universities.
The annual research process for the guide begins with confidential nominations made online. No individual can qualify for a listing in the IAM Strategy 300 unless he or she is nominated by at least three people from outside of his or her own organization. But those nominations do not guarantee inclusion. The IAM research team spends several months speaking with a wide range of senior corporate IP managers in North America, Europe and Asia, as well as third-party IP service providers.
At Steptoe, Bickham, who resides in the firm's Beijing office, serves as managing director of Steptoe's China intellectual property and litigation. Nuttall, who is based in Chicago, serves as co-chair of the firm's Intellectual Property group.
