Event Details
Join us on Wednesday, March 25, for a webinar exploring the San Francisco City Attorney's recent lawsuit alleging that food industry companies have followed the playbook of Big Tobacco in designing and selling addictive ultra-processed foods (UPF), including the targeted marketing of their products toward children.
This lawsuit may not be a one-off, but potentially a reflection of an emerging change in public perception of UPF, and possibly the beginning of a wider litigation trend. Importantly, federal and state government enforcers from opposite ends of the political spectrum are similarly focused on UPF, as part of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement.
This program will cover regulatory and litigation developments in this space, address implications for food industry clients, and provide recommendations and proactive steps to help mitigate risk.
This webinar also provides an excellent opportunity to hear from featured speakers at Steptoe's upcoming Food Contact Conference, which will take place from April 21-22, 2026, in our Washington, DC office.
