Overview
Jeffrey F. Pryce advises clients on international law and represents them in international disputes. His legal, government, and academic experience underlay a record of successfully resolving complex problems through negotiation, arbitration and litigation, as well as advising clients on strategies to optimize outcomes and minimize risk.
Jeff represented Corn Products in a NAFTA investment arbitration in which the client won a record-setting award; Motorola in an ICSID arbitration ending with a nearly $1 billion settlement to the client; and Oracle in the successful defense of a $100 million multijurisdictional stock option claim.
Jeff’s experience includes ICSID, ICSID (AF), UNCITRAL, and ICC arbitration, arising out of energy, infrastructure and telecommunications agriculture sectors. He also has extensive experience in cross-border litigation, particularly representing US companies operating internationally. His practice includes US-court litigation implicating issues of international jurisdiction, conflicts of law and foreign law, and the simultaneous management of parallel proceedings in foreign courts or international arbitration. His international commercial arbitration experience includes cases conducted entirely in Spanish.
He also has considerable experience in multijurisdictional litigation in national courts, including supervising litigation at the global level. At the appellate level, Jeff has represented clients in all phases of litigation in the US Supreme Court, as well as in federal and state appellate courts. He also counsels clients on a wide range of public international law issues, from international criminal law to compliance with nuclear arms control treaties to international cybersecurity.
