Overview
Leila focuses her practice on telecommunications, media, and technology regulatory matters. She advises clients on Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulatory issues, including cable and satellite television policy, broadcasting compliance, and rulemaking proceedings, as well as related enforcement and compliance matters affecting communications and media companies.
Prior to joining the firm, Leila served as an Honors Attorney in the FCC’s Media Bureau, Policy Division, where she drafted policy documents for cable and satellite television rulemakings, and reviewed waiver and petition requests from regulated entities. She also assisted with enforcement actions in the Audio Division and monitored licensing compliance in the Video Division.
Leila previously worked in government affairs at NBCUniversal, preparing legislative and regulatory briefings and supporting FCC compliance for affiliate stations. During law school, she also gained experience at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and through the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Clinic.
