Overview
Sarah Norise focuses her practice on consumer litigation, including mass actions, class actions, and product liability matters. She supports case teams in various stages of litigation, including drafting motions, assisting with discovery, preparing for depositions, and supporting pretrial preparation. Sarah has experience working on consumer protection and false advertising claims and analyzing issues under federal and state statutory frameworks. She also assists clients with regulatory compliance matters related to consumer products and food-contact materials.
Sarah maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in immigration and veterans' matters and contributing to impact litigation advocating for the rights of transgender incarcerated individuals. During law school, she spent a year in the Bluhm Legal Clinic, representing incarcerated youth and supporting rehabilitation efforts. She is a member of the Black Women Lawyers’ Association and serves as Chair of the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law Black Alumni Group.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Sarah worked in the education department at the Chicago History Museum and spent a year in Malaysia as a Fulbright grant recipient.
