Overview
Steven Kaplan focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and judgment enforcement matters. He also has experience representing clients before government agencies and in investigations. Steven has assisted clients with all phases of pretrial civil litigation, including written discovery, motion practice, witness preparation, and depositions.
Steven maintains an active pro bono practice. Key recent matters include the prosecution of employment discrimination and retaliation claims on behalf of a firm client against the Department of State. Steven also recently served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge David Barlow at the US District Court for the District of Utah, where he worked on multiple cases involving alleged deliberate indifference to prisoners’ medical needs, contract disputes, class action data breaches, and other civil matters.
