Members of the Brussels office re/insurance team have authored an analysis of EU policy and legislation insurance and reinsurance for Thomson Reuters’ publication Practical Law Global Guide. The article considers current EU policy trends and legislative developments in insurance and reinsurance, including the EU legislative process applicable to the sector, key EU texts, reform of the EU supervisory framework and selected cross-sector developments (including competition/anti-trust, anti-money laundering, the protection of personal data, cyber-security, etc.), FinTech and Brexit.
